Leave insurance coverage anxiety at the door!

Does my medical insurance cover counseling? How do I file my claims? I don’t want to mess with my insurance while I’m trying to figure out my issues. Do you accept my insurance?

The office staff at Take Charge, Inc. will assist you with all of your insurance issues.

Most insurance carriers provide out-of-network benefits for their subscribers.
The fee schedules are different for every insurance carrier. However, most of our clients receive up to 50% reimbursements of their counseling fees, even though Terri is an out-of-network provider. Please remember that reimbursement is considered a matter between you and your insurance company. Always check with them directly for questions about your coverage.

Do you take Medicare or Medicaid?
Take Charge, Inc. is not a covered provider for either Medicare or Medicaid. Take Charge, Inc. will not file any claims for Medicare or Medicaid and you will not be eligible to independently file claims for the services that we provide. As with every patient you will need to pay for your treatment sessions at the time of service.

By filing claims electronically, benefit reimbursements are received quickly.
We file your claims electronically every week. This typically means clients are reimbursed much quicker than when filing paper claims. After the initial visit is processed through your insurance company, reimbursements can come as quickly as 2 weeks from the session visit.

Let our office staff lift that burden from you. We will handle all the administrative details of your insurance coverage to allow you to reap the benefits of counseling and the financial benefits you deserve from your insurance carrier.

We cannot guarantee coverage, but will work with your insurance carrier to ensure you receive the highest level of benefits your coverage allows.

45 minutes is dedicated to you to address your needs.

How is contact between services handled?

In between contact will need to be scheduled and will be charged at Take Charge, Inc.’s hourly fee will apply. These are not reimbursed by insurance.

Do you take Walk-Ins?

Take Charge, Inc. Is a private practice and we do not provide walk in appointments, on demand or immediate sessions, coverage for active suicidality or violence. If a higher level of care is needed or if this is a psychiatric emergency please always call 911 and/or report to the nearest emergency room for medical care. The National Suicide Prevention Hotline is 1-800-273-8255.

How are cancellations handled?

Scheduled appointment times are reserved expressly for that person; last-minute cancellations or no-shows prevent other patients from being able to receive needed services. No-shows and cancellations without 24-hours notice for regular appointments are subject to the full session fee. If late, you will have less time together with your therapist and will still be billed for the entire session. Chronic lateness and missed appointments greatly interfere with therapy. Strategies toward alleviating those difficulties will be addressed with your therapist and left unchanged would result in discharge from services.

What Payment Methods are accepted?

Payments are to be collected at each session and may be made by check, cash, or credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover). Any returned checks, returned credit card charges (“charge-back”), or late payments would be subject to a $50 fee.
